The 4th Anglian Flower and Garden Show at Bourne, Cambridgeshire.

This show was advertised in the Plant Fair Guide that we brought at Pertenhall Plant Fair where we went earlier in the year. It was like a minature Chelsea but not so crowded. If you wanted to you could spend, spend, spend - there was everything there from pots, plants, trees, shrubs, statues, mulches, tools to outdoor rooms even clothes. Luckily or unluckily I had not brought a lot of money but I did take enough for a few purchases.

How many chrysanthemums make a mountain? This was Sam Oldham's stand, he had to come all the way from Wellington in Somerset.

This is where I found out what a 'Teucrium hircanicum' looked like in flower, I brought one based on the description at Pertenhall Plant Fair. The bees and hoverflies love it.

I thought that hostas always had lacey leaves - it just goes to show. The owner of this stand didn't have as far to come as the chrysanths, he was fairly local, from Stowmarket in Suffolk.

I took this photograph so that I could show it to my heuchera 'Palace Purple' and say "This is what you are supposed to look like!"
