The Broad Walk. What a difference four months have made. Back in April it was bare earth with bedraggled plants dotted here and there. There were lots of labels standing proud of the soil, now in August it was hard work trying to find out what some of these plants were called. |
The Bedding Display. Sedums and houseleeks made up this bedding display in front of the laboratory. They gave the names of the plants used on an information plaque but didn't say how many were used though. |
A new garden - there was no sign of this back in April. It just shows you what can be achieved, I wonder what it looks like now. |
The Walled Garden with its summer outfit on. I didn't know what the big bronzy leaved plants on the right hand side of the picture were until now - Cannas. I think I am going to try another sort next year because the one I got this year has been very easy to look after. |

The Laboratory looks much better on a warm August day with the blue sky reflected in the pond/lake/canal. I wish all my photos would come out as well as this one did. |
